Mandatory Checkpoints:

  2. Splügen Pass (Italy-Switzerland border): A high mountain pass connecting Italy and Switzerland, featuring a series of hairpin turns and breathtaking views.
  3. Petit Saint Bernard Pass (France): A historic pass linking Italy and France, offering panoramic vistas of the surrounding mountains.
  4. Alpe d’Huez (France): An iconic climb in the French Alps, famous for its 21 hairpin bends and frequent appearances in the Tour de France.
  5. Combe Laval (France): A spectacular road carved into the cliffs of the Vercors region, offering dramatic views and a unique riding experience.
  6. Millau (France): Home to the impressive Millau Viaduct, the tallest bridge in the world, set amidst the picturesque landscapes of southern France.
  7. Col d’Aubisque (France): A classic Pyrenean climb, renowned for its challenging ascent and stunning vistas.
  8. Loarre (Spain): A historic town dominated by the Loarre Castle, one of the best-preserved Romanesque fortresses in Europe.

  10. Gaztelugatxe (Spain): A small islet on the Basque coast, connected to the mainland by a man-made bridge, featuring a winding path to a hermitage at its peak.
Participants are required to design their own routes, ensuring they pass through each of these checkpoints. The event emphasizes self-sufficiency; riders must manage navigation, logistics, and repairs independently. Pre-booking of services, including accommodation, before the event is prohibited; all arrangements must be made after the event has started.
