Embark on Góry 400, the shortest yet one of the most challenging stages of the Polish Bike Tour. This self-supported ultra-cycling event takes you through the rugged and picturesque mountain ranges of southern Poland, offering a true test of endurance and resilience.
Route Highlights:
•Magura National Park: Begin your journey with demanding climbs and swift descents in this pristine natural reserve.
•Beskid Ranges: Traverse the Low, Sądecki, Wyspowy, and Żywiecki Beskids, each presenting unique challenges and breathtaking vistas.
•Charming Towns: Pass through scenic locales such as Krynica, Piwniczna, and Szczawnica, immersing yourself in local culture and landscapes.
•Pieniny National Park: Ride through this park, known for its limestone mountains and the Dunajec River Gorge.
•Podhale Region: Experience the cultural heartland of the Polish highlands, leading you to Zakopane, the gateway to the Tatra Mountains.
•Babia Góra and Pilsko Massifs: Conquer these significant mountain massifs before descending to the finish line in Żywiec.
Surface Composition:
•70% asphalt, cobblestone, and hardened roads
•30% gravel, forest paths, and singletrack
Recommended Bike Type: MTB or Gravel bike
Participant Requirements:
To complete the course within the 96-hour limit, riders should aim to cover an average of approximately 100 km per day, maintaining a minimum overall speed (including stops and rest) of 4.16 km/h.
